افتتاح متحف فاروق حسني للفنون بالزمالك

افتتح مجلس أمناء مؤسسة فاروق حسني للثقافة والفنون أمس السبت متحف الفنان الكبير فاروق حسني، وذلك بحضور نخبة رفيعة المستوى من الشخصيات الثقافية والرسمية والدبلوماسية، إلى جانب عدد كبير من الفنانين والمفكرين والنقاد من مصر والعالم العربي.
وشهد حفل الافتتاح حضور كلٍ من معالي الوزير أحمد هنو وزير الثقافة، الشيخة مي آل خليفة رئيس هيئة الثقافة والآثار بمملكة البحرين سابقًا ورئيس مجلس أمناء مركز الشيخ إبراهيم، الأمين العام لجامعة الدول العربية أحمد أبو الغيط،
الوزيرة فايزة أبو النجا مستشار رئيس الجمهورية، الدكتورة غادة والي المدير التنفيذي لمنظمة الامم المتحدة، الوزير سامح شكري، الوزير عمرو موسى، الوزير منير فخري عبد النور، والدكتور أحمد نظيف رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأسبق والسيد جمال مبارك ،الدكتور طارق الملا وزير البترول السابق،الوزير هشام الشريف ،النائب ورجل الاعمال محمد ابو العنين وكيل مجلس الشعب ، الدكتور أحمد زايد مدير مكتبة الإسكندرية إلى جانب عدد من الشخصيات العامة ورجال الأعمال والمثقفين والفنانين والنقاد وقيادات وزارة الثقافة .
وصاحب افتتاح المتحف حفل موسيقي كلاسيكي، أعقبه حفل رسمي قدمته الإعلامية جاسمين طه زكي عضو مجلس امناء مؤسسة فاروق حسني، حيث ألقى المهندس نجيب ساويرس نائب رئيس مجلس امناء مؤسسة فاروق حسني للثقافة والفنون كلمة أعرب خلالها عن تقديره وترحيبه بالحضور ، موجّهًا الشكر للفنان فاروق حسني على إهدائه متحفه ومقتنياته ليكون فضاءً مفتوحًا أمام الجمهور، خاصة الشباب ومحبي الفنون.
كما ألقت الشيخة مي آل خليفة كلمة عبّرت فيها عن اعتزازها بهذا الحدث الثقافي البارز، مشيدةً بمسيرة الفنان فاروق حسني وإسهاماته العميقة في المشهد الثقافي المصري والعربي.
من جانبه، أكد وزير الثقافة أحمد هنو أن المتحف يمثل نموذجًا حيًا للترابط بين الإبداع الفني والعمل الثقافي المجتمعي، مشيرًا إلى أن ما يقدمه الفنان فاروق حسني يسهم في بناء الوعي الجمالي ودعم الأجيال الجديدة من الفنانين والنقاد.
وتخلل الحفل عرض فيلم تسجيلي عن متحف فاروق حسني، استعرض رؤيته ومقتنياته، ولاقي ترحيبًا واسعًا من الحضور.
ويأتي افتتاح المتحف تتويجًا لمسيرة فنية استثنائية امتدت لعقود، قدّم خلالها فاروق حسني تجربة تشكيلية متفرّدة تفاعلت مع مفردات الثقافة المصرية والعالمية، وخلّفت بصمة بصرية مميزة قائمة على البحث والتجريب والسعي الدائم نحو المعنى والإلهام.
ويضم المتحف مختارات دقيقة من أعمال الفنان تمثل مختلف مراحله وتحولاته الجمالية، إلى جانب أعمال سبق عرضها في متاحف ومعارض دولية وإقليمية، بما يتيح للزائر قراءة متكاملة لمسار فني ثري ومتجدد.
ولا يقتصر المتحف على أعمال صاحبه، بل يحتضن أيضًا مقتنيات فاروق حسني الشخصية من روائع الفن المصري والعالمي، لأسماء بارزة من بينها: أنطوني تابيس، جورج دي كيركو، بوسان، محمود مختار، محمود سعيد، آدم حنين، سيف وانلي، منير كنعان وغيرهم، في حوار فني غني بين المدارس والتجارب المختلفة.
كما يضم المتحف مكتبة متخصصة تحتوي على أهم المراجع الفنية والأدبية، إلى جانب مكتبة موسيقية وغرفة ميديا مخصصة لعرض الأفلام والأعمال التسجيلية، في تكامل معرفي يجمع بين الصورة والنص والصوت.
ويأتي متحف فاروق حسني للفنون تحت مظلة مؤسسة فاروق حسني للثقافة والفنون بوصفه مشروعًا ثقافيًا حيًا، لا يكتفي بعرض الأعمال، بل يسعى إلى ترسيخ الفن كقيمة إنسانية مستدامة، وإحياء الحوار الجمالي بين الفنان والجمهور.

Opening of the Farouk Hosny Museum of Arts in Zamalek

The Board of Trustees of the Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and the Arts inaugurated yesterday, Saturday, the museum of the distinguished artist Farouk Hosny, in the presence of a high-level gathering of cultural, official, and diplomatic figures, alongside a large number of artists, intellectuals, and critics from Egypt and the Arab world.
The opening ceremony was attended by His Excellency Mr. Ahmed Hanno, Minister of Culture; Sheikha Mai Al Khalifa, former President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities and Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Sheikh Ebrahim Center; Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit, Secretary-General of the League of Arab States; Ms. Fayza Aboul Naga, Advisor to the President of the Republic; Dr. Ghada Waly, Executive Director of the United Nations; Mr. Sameh Shoukry; Mr. Amr Moussa; Mr. Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour; Dr. Ahmed Nazif, former Prime Minister; Mr. Gamal Mubarak; Dr. Tarek El Molla, former Minister of Petroleum; Mr. Hisham El Sherif; MP and businessman Mohamed Abou El Enein, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives; and Dr. Ahmed Zayed, Director of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina—along with a number of public figures, business leaders, intellectuals, artists, critics, and senior officials from the Ministry of Culture.
The museum opening was accompanied by a classical music concert, followed by an official ceremony hosted by media professional Jasmine Taha Zaki, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Farouk Hosny Foundation. During the ceremony, Eng. Naguib Sawiris, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees, delivered a speech welcoming the guests and expressing his appreciation, extending his gratitude to Farouk Hosny for gifting his museum and personal collections to the public as an open cultural space—particularly for young people and art enthusiasts.
Sheikha Mai Al Khalifa also delivered a speech expressing her pride in this landmark cultural event, praising Farouk Hosny’s artistic journey and his profound contributions to the Egyptian and Arab cultural landscapes. For his part, Minister of Culture Ahmed Hanno emphasized that the museum represents a living model of the connection between artistic creativity and community-based cultural engagement, noting that Farouk Hosny’s work contributes to building aesthetic awareness and supporting new generations of artists and critics.
The ceremony included the screening of a documentary film about the Farouk Hosny Museum, presenting its vision and collections, which was met with wide acclaim from attendees.
The opening of the museum marks the culmination of an exceptional artistic career spanning decades, during which Farouk Hosny developed a distinctive visual practice that engaged deeply with the vocabularies of Egyptian and global culture, leaving a unique imprint grounded in research, experimentation, and a continuous pursuit of meaning and inspiration.
The museum presents a carefully curated selection of the artist’s works representing different phases and aesthetic transformations, alongside works previously exhibited in international and regional museums and exhibitions, offering visitors a comprehensive reading of a rich and evolving artistic trajectory.
Beyond the artist’s own oeuvre, the museum also houses Farouk Hosny’s personal collection of masterpieces from Egyptian and international art, featuring prominent names such as Antoni Tàpies, Giorgio de Chirico, Poussin, Mahmoud Mokhtar, Mahmoud Said, Adam Henein, Seif Wanly, Mounir Canaan, among others—creating a rich artistic dialogue across diverse schools and experiences.
The museum further includes a specialized library containing key art and literary references, in addition to a music library and a dedicated media room for the presentation of films and documentary works, forming an integrated knowledge space that brings together image, text, and sound.
The Farouk Hosny Museum of Arts operates under the umbrella of the Farouk Hosny Foundation for Culture and the Arts as a living cultural project—one that goes beyond exhibition to affirm art as a sustainable human value and to revive aesthetic dialogue between artist and audience.
